  • Washington State Labor Council 321 16th Ave S Seattle USA (map)

Join us for QTPOC + Language Access Snack & Chat!

Saturday, September 29th
3pm-6pm
Washington State Labor Council ("Labor Hall")
321 16th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144

This session, API Chaya’s Access for All will partner with our Queer Network Program to snack and chat together about the intersections of Queer and Trans People of Color narratives and language access.

Language is vital to communication, communication is crucial to being able to express and meet needs. Shared language allows us to have a shared understanding of violence, and the tools to be able to interrupt and prevent violence. This is why we say language access is a human right. Please join us for an evening of sharing barriers, challenges, and also creative community solutions to language access and to helping shape an emerging campaign to further raise awareness of what it takes to treat language access as a human right.

This event is FREE and open to all - we ask that people who join us will center and honor QTPOC folx and narratives in the space.
